Trust Fundraising in a Box: Live

  • Starts Jan 20, 2026

Are you a small charity person struggling to find time to set up trust fundraising? Know it could unlock vital funds for your charity, but have no idea where to start, especially in the current climate?

In 2026 I’m running a live, supported version of my course Trust Fundraising in a Box, to guide you through the process of setting up and growing trusts and foundations fundraising from scratch in your small UK charity (or even revamping your existing programme).

By the end of the year, you'll have a functioning trust fundraising programme, submitted applications and a clear pipeline of prospects - and hopefully, your first grants coming in!

Who is it for?

This new live version of Trust Fundraising in a Box is perfect if you:

  • Are responsible for fundraising in a small UK charity, but have little or no trusts and foundations experience

  • Need accountability - you learn best with deadlines and check-ins, and want the opportunity to ask questions

  • Can dedicate half a day per week to build this income stream

What's the format?

Trust Fundraising in a Box is made up of four modules, with training delivered live over 4 sessions between January and March. Sessions will of course be recorded and shared afterwards. You’ll get clear, practical step-by-step guidance to build your understanding and support you through all the actions you need to take, as well as templates for all the documents and spreadsheets you need to create.

The live sessions will give you the opportunity to ask questions, and benefit from greater accountability and the support of a cohort. After the live sessions are complete, from April to December you’ll be able to book slots at monthly office hours to chat through your progress and ask questions, and I’ll also review your first funding application.

When is it happening?

Live sessions will be held on:

  • Tuesday 20th January, 11am

  • Tuesday 3rd February, 11am

  • Tuesday 3rd March, 11am

  • Tuesday 17th March, 11am

All sessions will be recorded and shared afterwards.

Office hours will be held monthly on Tuesdays for the rest of 2026, with 30 minute slots bookable in advance.

What does it cost?

Trust Fundraising in a Box: Live costs £400, which can be paid either in full or as 8 monthly payments of £50.

Charity income under £50,000? Email suziereesfundraising@gmail.com for a £100 off discount code.

Prefer to learn at your own pace or need lower cost training? The self-paced version of Trust Fundraising in a Box is still available, and costs £150 (or £95 if your charity’s income is under £50,000)

What will I learn?

The course is designed to take the guesswork out of trust fundraising, and give you a clear roadmap to do the work yourself, without needing to pay for external support.

You’ll get clear, practical step-by-step guidance to build your understanding and support you through all the actions you need to take, as well as templates for all the documents and spreadsheets you need to create. The focus is on making your trust fundraising as efficient and effective as possible, using tried and tested methods to maximise your success with the limited time you have!

Module 1: Introduction to trusts and foundations fundraising

Learn what trusts and foundations are, and how they operate and make decisions. Understand the different stages of the trust fundraising cycle - the key building blocks of successful trust fundraising.

Module 2: Prospect research

Learn where to look for trusts who may be interested in funding your organisation, the key funder information you need to gather to assess potential alignment with your organisation and build a 'pipeline' of potential funders. Understand how to make a realistic projection for potential income from the trusts and foundations you have identified.

Module 3: Developing funding applications

Develop a 'Case for Support' for your organisation and key projects, which you can then use to develop funding applications. Learn about the different types of funding application you may come across, and how you can use your case for support and develop application templates to be as efficient as possible with your time. Understand how to cultivate relationships with funders to give you the best chance of securing funds.

Module 4: Securing grants

Understand the next steps once a grant application has been submitted. What to do if an application is not successful, and actions to take when it is. Learn how to steward funders well and develop funder reports, to give you the best chance of securing further funds!
